ORGANIZATION AND EQUIPMENT

(A/R) This regt provides administrative, logistical, and other support not only to BW and its regts, but the rest of the nation's military as well. It was established in 1945 with the amalgamation of the various support units that were found in the Army. Elements of these assigned units are frequently attached to individual regts and beome part of their Regimental Troops. Assigned units include:

SIGNALS SQN "Sparks";

EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DEMOLITION (EOD) SQN "Danger UXB" (initially trained by Maj Brian Ash of the British Royal Engineers);

MILITARY INTELLIGENCE COY "Spook"; and

NBC DEFENSE COY "Skunk"

THE LOGISTIC SUPPORT BN with, inter alia,

MAINTENANCE COY "Mr Fixit" and

FIELD ENGINEER SQN "Digger"

THE CATERING BN "Col Sanders"

THE MILITARY POLICE COY "Ferret"

THE MEDICAL BN "Bones"with, inter alia,

AMBULANCE SQN "Pale Horse",

MEDICAL COY "Dr Jeckle", and

DENTAL SEC "Dr Drill 'n' Fill"
